William Ramme was a shoemaker in Germany, as noted on his immigration record. He continued in the occupation of shoemaker in the United States. The first record found, so far, of the Ramme family in America is the 1860 US Census. The Rammes lived in Detroit (Ward 4), Wayne County, Michigan. William's occupation is recorded as Shoemaker. Minnie is not living at home at the time, and hasn't been located anywhere on the 1860 Census.
